Extension Partners

HPI is working with rural communities to end hunger and poverty, and to care for the earth through “Pass on the Gift” of animals’ offspring to others, along with their knowledge, resources and skills. It is involved in the dissemination and integration of the ADOPT in Kenya and Tanzania with smallholder livestock industry through provision of livestock to farmers and training on animal husbandry, fodder utilization and conservation.

ISD is instrumental in ADOPT expansion and dissemination, farmer mobilization and training mainly in Tigray, Amhara, and Oromia Regions of Ethiopia. ISD works closely with ADOPT project to improve livelihoods of small-holder farmers engaged in cereal based mixed cropping systems in the target areas.
