Kenya Agricultural & Livestock Research Organization (KALRO), Kenya
KALRO is a premier national institution bringing together research programmes in food crops, horticultural and industrial crops, livestock and range management, land and water management, and socio-economics. KALRO is a national research partner, actively engaged in the research, development and promotion of the ADOPT in Kenya to ensure food security through improved productivity and environmental conservation.
LZARDI
Lake Zone Agricultural Research and Development Institute (LZARDI),Tanzania
LZARDI is mandated to develop and extend new agricultural technologies in the Lake Zone of Tanzania, and to educate farmers on improved farming methods. It is involved in adaptive testing and promotion of the ADOPT among smallholder farmers in Tanzania, including establishment of strategic partnerships with both public and private sectors.
EIAR
Ethiopian Institute of Agricultural Research (EIAR)
EIAR is involved in Push-pull technology adaptation, expansion and dissemination in Ethiopia. ADOPT project works closely with EIAR’s Melkasa Agricultural Research Centre which focuses on dry-land agriculture, rangeland livestock feed improvement and socio-economic studies.
